Ochrona i promocja zdrowia dzieci to priorytetowy projekt SDB.

Cel projektu to zapewnianie dzieciom pomocy medycznej, w szczególnych przypadkach pozyskiwanie sponsorów oraz finansowanie kosztów leczenia.

Opiekunem projektu jest jego pomysłodawca Maria Jędrusiak – lekarz medycyny, pediatra, homeopata, irydolog, Prezes Niepublicznego Zakładu Opieki Zdrowotnej, Kierownik Poradni na osiedlu Zamkowe w Będzinie. Lekarz medycyny Maria Jędrusiak, przyjaciel dzieci, opiekuje się nadal kilkunastoosobową grupą swoich podopiecznych. Udziela porad i konsultacji lekarskich w swoim gabinecie oraz odwiedza, w razie potrzeby, dzieciaki w ich domach.
Prowadzono między innymi konsultacje specjalistów: badania komputerowe i konsultacje lekarza okulisty – grupa dzieci z bazy danych projektu, „Czego potrzebujesz?”. Były zajęcia
z zakresu udzielania pierwszej pomocy.
Priorytetem na rok 2008/09 jest pomoc medyczna naszemu podopiecznemu Piotrowi Antoniukowi, który przed laty jako 7-letni chłopiec został poparzony. Pomagamy mu organizacyjnie i finansowo w wykonaniu operacji plastycznej twarzy. W przyszłości także w likwidacji zrostów na klatce piersiowej. Pierwszym znaczącym sponsorem Stowarzyszenia Dzieciom Będzina z przeznaczeniem środków właśnie dla Piotrka jest Zarząd EC Będzin.
W grudniu br. został wykonany „zabieg medyczny plastyka -2 przykurcz bliznowaty policzka prawego” przez Niepubliczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej „SANTI-MED” w Tarnowskich Górach. Piotr skorzystał z dwóch serii zabiegów laserowych w przychodni „ELMED” w Będzinie, refundujemy też zakup leków wspomagających leczenie chirurgiczne.

Prowadzono między innymi konsultacje specjalistów: badanie komputerowe, konsultacje lekarza okulisty oraz zakup okularów dla podopiecznych Agnieszki Henzlik i Kacpra Bąka.

W ramach projektu „Ochrona i promocja zdrowia dzieci”, Zarząd Stowarzyszenia Dzieciom Będzina podjął decyzję o pomocy podopiecznemu Oskarowi Kwiecień, który uczęszcza na zajęcia do Ośrodka SDB „Jesteśmy razem”. Prośbę o pomoc skierowała mama Oskara. Nie była ona w stanie sfinansować aparatu słuchowego dla swojego dziecka, którego stan zdrowia stale się pogarszał. Dlatego też Zarząd SDB podjął decyzję, że pomoc dla Oskara jest niezbędna. Koszt aparatu wynosił 6 360,00 zł – Stowarzyszenie dofinansowało 3 180,00 zł.

Odpowiedzieliśmy na prośbę o pomoc dla poszkodowanej w wypadku samochodowym Sandry Michoń z Dąbrowy Górniczej – zakupiliśmy sprzęt do rehabilitacji (rotor CHRISTOPEIT SPORT MB-2 ).
Z apelem o pomoc zwrócili się rodzice Karolinki Żebrak, która od urodzenia choruje na niedowład spastyczny kończyn dolnych i oczekuje na operację w USA. W tym przypadku sfinansowaliśmy chorej zabiegi rehabilitacyjne, niezbędne do codziennego funkcjonowania dziewczynki i przygotowujące ją do zabiegu.

Dzieci uczęszczające do naszej świetlicy korzystały 2 razy w miesiącu z pobytu w grocie solnej „AGAVERA” w Będzinie. Korzystały z dobroczynnego działania soli znacząco redukującej stres, podnoszącej zdolność koncentracji i znakomicie wpływającej na drogi oddechowe.

Stowarzyszenie Dzieciom Będzina zakupiło sprzęt medyczny dla Powiatowego Zespołu Zakładów Opieki Zdrowotnej – Oddziału Noworodków i Wcześniaków w Będzinie. Umową darowizny przekazano: Monitor pacjenta Infinity Delta z wyposażeniem. Wartość darowizny – 26 350,00. Fundusze na zakup sprzętu pozyskaliśmy z koncertu charytatywnego „KopciuszekiKrasnoludki”.
