Nagroda dla Profesora (08-06-2010)

Nagroda Miasta Będzina dla prof. Włodzimierza Wójcika

31 maja 2010 roku na uroczystym posiedzeniu Rady Miejskiej w Będzinie miało miejsce wręczenie Nagród Miasta Będzina. Nagrodę główną za osiągnięcia w dziedzinie twórczości artystycznej, upowszechniania i ochrony kultury w 2009 roku otrzymał prof. zw. dr hab. Włodzimierz Wójcik, profesor honorowy Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, członek i konsultant naukowy SDB. Wnioskodawcą w/w nagrody było Stowarzyszenie Dzieciom Będzina.

Ponieważ laureat nie mógł osobiście odebrać Nagrody, na sesji reprezentowała go najbliższa rodzina: żona, Zofia Jaworowska-Wójcik oraz syn Andrzej. Podczas uroczystości przewodniczący Komisji Kultury RM Marcin Lazar odczytał list nadesłany przez wyróżnionego. Jak zauważa w nim laureat, wręczenie Nagrody zbiegło się w czasie z 78. rocznicą jego urodzin, tym samym Nagroda stała się prawdziwym prezentem urodzinowym.
